Overview

Michael is going to outline the foundations of service meshes and Envoy Proxy including their use cases, provides a short intro on static configuration of Envoy Proxy and then focuses on its dynamic configuration during runtime.

You will see some practical examples, such as pluggable service discovery approaches, MTLS with dynamic key and certificate rotation, and incremental blue/green deployments. Last but not least, Michael explores some implications for the design of microservices.

Intended Audience

CTOs, software architects, software engineers, software testers, and admins with a working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, HTTP/1, Java, and Spring as well as a solid understanding of microservices
